Rising Like a Lion
Reflections from the first 4 days of Operation Rising Lion

Beloved lionesses,
Sharing what our reality has been like here in Israel these past few days.
Since Thursday night… 17th Sivan 5785
Here in Eretz Yisrael,
we are under fire.

We are witnessing so much.
Running for shelter several times a day,
feeling the weight of it all, but feeling light at the same time
Holding this paradox…

while on the ground…We now receive now 2 alarms
(unlike the 13 months of war in the North with Hiz-bala where we only had a 30 seconds to run to our safe room)
the 1st alarm—
prepares us for the incoming missiles from Iran.
We may have up to 30 minutes until the next alarm,

we then wait / continue on with our business
Again holding the paradox

the 2nd alarm that tells us to run,
to find shelter in our safe rooms.

We are witnessing nevua—prophecy—
Unfolding before our very eyes.

the pain,
the loss of lives,
the crushing of buildings.

And yet—
everyone we encounter
in the privacy of our apt maamad (safe room)
or in a communal miklat (shelter)
is not afraid anymore.

As reb Usher Freund zt”l teaches:
don’t be afraid of fear
Fear is a movement in the soul

we are feeling this movement from our safe rooms.
pachad פחד / fear has the same letters as dachaf / push דחף
Fear is a movement, an urge to push you deeper into His arms

13 months under attack from Lebanon
has taught us something.
We have climbed the ladder
We’ve passed through a time of fear.
transitioned into a time of emunah.
and are entering into the shaare bina / the 50th gate
into a time for peace

This is a constant in our mochin / consciousness
as we sit in our saferoom
in dveikus
We are in Hashem’s loving care—
witnessing,
living through,
the unfolding of the Geulah.

Being present with our tzadikim and
Nevi’im who we have the benefit of knowing that
the Kingdom of Persia / Iran—
will spread fear in the world
in the final stages of Galus.

We are transitioning.
From galut to geula.
From fear to Oneness

On the very day this war began,
Parshat Beha’alotcha,
we read:
וַיְהִי בִּנְסֹעַ הָאָרֹן, וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה: קוּמָה ה׳, וְיָפֻצוּ אֹיְבֶיךָ, וְיָנֻסוּ מְשַׂנְאֶיךָ מִפָּנֶיךָ
(במדבר י׳:ל״ה)

“And when the Ark would journey, Moshe said:
Arise! Hashem, and let Your enemies scatter,
and let those who hate You flee from before You.”
Rashi explains:
קוּמָה ה׳ – גֶּבֶר עוֹמֵד לְעֶזְרוֹ שֶׁיַּכֶּה אוֹיְבָיו
“Arise, Hashem”—like a warrior rising to help and strike His enemies.

This wasn’t only Moshe’s cry to Hashem—
It’s Hashem’s cry to us:

קוּמָה! Arise!
It’s time to rise up— with the bravery of a lioness
with emunah,
with clarity,
with fearless action.

Our battle—inner and outer—
is called:
Operation Rising Lion.

In a time when fear and uncertainty
we are being called to
To rise like a lion(ess)
to wake up,
to remember who we are
to return to our strength,
and reclaim our Divine identity

The lion / Arieh
 the tribe of Yehudah.
Of malchut, of strength, of geula.

From Yehudah will come
Moshiach ben David—
a lion who will rise
to redeem the world.

But this rising
isn’t just about courage
in the face of missiles.

It’s a call to Teshuva—
to spiritually AWAKEN
and return to Hashem
with our whole hearts.

Because when we do,
we are zoche to the lion—
Moshiach ben David—
to rise on our behalf
and bring the Geulah.

Our collective soul / Knesset Yisrael is being called.
“Behold! A people rises like a lioness,
and like a lion it lifts itself up…”
הִנֵּה גּוֹי כְּלָבִיא יָקוּם, וְכַאֲרִי יִתְנַשָּׂא
(במדבר כ״ג:כ״ד)

This is not just a military call to action
It’s a Divine wake-up call for every one of us

It’s time to rise.
Time to roar.
Time to return to Hashem—
with koach, with courage,
with Geulah consciousness.

We are the lioness
We are rising.
And the Geulah frequency… is rising with us.
